P E R S O N A L I T Y
______ Zozzy has a jovial laugh and the vivid eyes of a Plague dragon, though he on first impression he seems anything but. (Of course, anyone's first impression of him is usually involves getting dunked with water, finding a frog in their food, or both.) He's become quite the trickster in his clan, along side his friend Hitsu. Between the two of them, there is rarely a day without some sort of excitement. Frequently, their stunts and pranks end up with Zozzy stuck somewhere or being yelled at. But with Zozzy's pleasant attitude and job in the lair, no one can really stay upset with either of them for too long. Zozzy has taken quite the liking to hatchlings and caring for them, and plays the role as a sitter for busy parents. With his own boundless energy and patience for the younger members of the clan, he's become a fast favorite among the hatchlings. They're particularly fascinated by the corny jokes and elaborate plans for pranks. One might expect his place in the lair to be blanketed in objects for future and past stunts, but instead it glitters with an unforeseen brilliance. Zozzy is fascinated with gems and metals, and they lay in multicolored displays throughout the room. The thousand facets and shine of crystal create a gorgeous, if somewhat overwhelming, image. These various geodes and sheets of metal occasionally end up scattered across the lair instead of just Zozzy's room, but no one has the heart to complain about such beauty. And it's way better than finding a stunk, which happens more times than not. |

In Zozzy's humble opinion, he was born in an absolutely absurd clan. They didn't even like jokes. (He'd tried everything from puns to knock-knocks.)
And they had a bizarre idea of 'worthiness' born of trials, and often promptly abandoned new clanmembers and children in the Abiding Boneyard itself and left them to stagger back to the clan.
Failure to do so either left a lost, wandering soul cursed to roam the Boneyard, or the clan would sell the failure.
Fun stuff.
And so, about day three of stumbling around on this blasted plain, Zozzy decided he wasn't going back. The trek through hell (as he'd taken to calling the trial) was cruel and unnecessary. Besides, who left a child surrounded by flesh-eating plants and no water in sight? He wanted no part of it.
(There was also the whole thing about probably failing and being sold.)
He decided to head to the Gladekeeper's lands. Peaceful, nice, and not filled with horrible beasts.
Zozzy could not have been more wrong. With his luck, he came across the Shrieking Wilds. And they were named that for a reason. The sheer abundance of life and creatures and whatever else lives in those dark trees was incredibly overwhelming compared to the barren Plague land. More than once he was almost eaten by very loud and aggressive forest creatures. He did come across a couple of clans and a couple of really attractive dragons and some horrible tasting plants that were perfect for pranking other's food, but he couldn't get used to landscape.
And Zozzy was nothing if not extreme, so of course he headed to the literal other side of the planet. Apparently, Ice dragons are hot. But after causing a couple landslides (it was an accident!) and still feeling out of place, Zozzy took to the air once again.
And then fell.
He made it as far as the Tangled Wood with no destination in mind before that lovely curse of every spiral's kicked in, and he managed to pass out a couple hundred feet above the ground.
Thankfully, a nearby imperial, Hitsu, wasn't too keen on letting poor spirals go falling out of the sky. It was a small feat for such a large dragon to catch what seemed to be a flailing windsock, and Zozzy successfully made it to the ground without breaking anything important.
As it turned out, Hitsu was a kindred spirit. They became fast friends after they exchanged stories of their most legendary stunts, and Hitsu invited him into his clan.
Despite the increase in chaos and amount of smelly and/or destructive animals (ex. fourteen skunks) after Zozzy's arrival, his bright demeanor keeps even the most irritable of his clanmates from getting too upset.
Between his continual jokes, puns, and pranks , Zozzy has become a favorite of the hatchlings. He'll happily tell stories for hours, or until he passes out. Whatever comes first.
Either way, he's found his place in the world. Plenty of clanmates to mess with, a partner in crime, and plus, no one has tried to dump him in a wasteland. Which is always a good thing.
