Flowerflank wasn't much of anything in his first clan, and found himself leaving Cloudscrape Crags and eventually settling in the Highland Scrub of the Shifting Expanse. Before long he had become interested in the Beast Clans nearby and began to seek them out. Of course, at first, it was rough, with them being wary and him not knowing how to communicate with them. Eventually, though, he made kind of friends with a clan of harpies. Slowly but surely, he became integrated into their clan life, learning their language, helping hunt and take care of young harpies. Soon, it became time for them to migrate, and they wanted him to join them. "You are weird, for a ti'chalik," the clan mother told him, "but you are our ti'chalik. Come with us to the Wharf for the winter." So he did. Interestingly enough, he wasn't the only dragon on the wharf, and he made friends with a lightning clan who had moved to the sea of a thousand currents looking for a new home. Flowerflank was delighted to have dragon friends and quickly bonded with a bookkeeper, who shared her books with him. The clan mother knew, that when they returned to the Shifting Expanse, that Flowerflank would not return with them. She gave him her blessing, and let Cadmus, Flowerflank's best friend, stay with him, only if they both promised to visit the next time the clan migrated back. Flowerflank and Cadmus are now happily living in the Drowned Sanctum, keeping track of weird and wonderful sea creatures, and learning deepsong. |
