Biography
Haunted died, and when she woke from her death she was sitting on a beautiful island in the middle of the ocean. A crystal-lined waterfall sang songs to her alone as the water cascaded into the clear pool and she took some time to digest what had happened to her.
She remembered hatching from her shell. What else was there? A memory of alone-ness when no dragon was there to greet her from the shell. Wait, but there was someone...something? There was a darkness that waited for her to hatch, a shadow come to life, a shade-wraith? It had hissed a laugh and descended upon her tiny hatchling body, then she remembered nothing until she woke beside the waterfall in her adult form.
Haunted looked down to her body and saw only shades of light in the sunshine. With a shrug, she stood and moved through the nearby woods, ready to explore her new home. Her new life.
The nameless clan arrived on the shores of the waterfall pond years later, following their addled friend Battlescale and his dire-hyena pet. Chaos looked around, then met Havoc's intense gaze. An entire conversation passed silently between them, until Havoc nodded and threw a sharp grin to the gathered clan. "Dis works!" she proclaimed as she bounced through the trees to find a good place to claim for the nameless clan.
The last dragon had left just as a golden Veilspun poked his head up from the hole beside the waterfall and giggled. "Move your butt, Gabe," a voice from the hole complained, and the manic Gabriel looked surprised for a split-second as a hand planted against his rear and shoved him from the hole. As he catapulted into the air with bright laughter, a satyr with blue locks followed him from the hole, then came her clan. As before, this second clan looked around and proclaimed the lands acceptable before they moved away in the opposite direction of the first clan.
When the last dragon left the waterfall, Haunted appeared from the shadows and thought, "Well, it seems I'm no longer alone." Then she hesitated a moment, deciding which clan to follow, before she turned left and followed the first clan. "Let's see who my new neighbors are," she chuckled as she came into the clearing filled with bustling dragons that were starting to lay the foundations of their new homes.
