It is said that he was once an orc turned dragon tho the truth behind the rumours are debatable. What can be said without the shadow of a doubt however, is that his temper does not spare anyone's feeling. Some perticularely bored dragons of the clan have tryed to get Theus and Hel in the same room to see how the two easily anoyed dragons would react, so far this, luckly, did not happen yet.

Never the less, he is still the guy to go too if one's nead a gem as a power source for a magical item, a special command to send for the jeweler or just to stock up on nice shiny rocks for your personal collection. Thing is, Theus isnt big on speaking, exchanging banality exaust him mentaly and since he hardly sleep ever due to insomnia, he is already running thin in that department from the start. This was the main idea behind making the message board at the front of his tunnel like store, this way even dragons that fear a confrontation with him or who are normaly too shy would have a way to communicate with him safely. It also gave him a way to communicate back with them without scaring others away.

Of course, as the gem expert, he know his way across the dedal of tunels better then anyone else. Since the Crystalspine Reach is mostly made from this pink crystal Theus was the one who was in charge of their creation after all. He was not, however, the one who dug the tunel into he ruins, to this day he keep complaining about it even existing. The zombies and others ghostly abominations crawling out from this place are definitively not up his alley. If he could have done so without danger, he would absolutely have collapse that whole place without the smallest amount of guilt for those who 'live' there the moment Pylos would have so mutch as look in his direction, let alone when that zombified Wildclaw started to drag himself out of the hole to do who knows what every night.

Theus had his familiar given to him by Arcantha after they had an argument, tho it was mainly ment as an insult on how the two had the same temper. The joke was on him tho as the gem expert quickly developped an uncany friendship with the creature. To his embarassement, he have been caught a few time cuddling with or baby-taking to the mimic.
