Biography
Emyr
Master Hunter and Forgotten Prince
Master Hunter and Forgotten Prince
Emyr and Eirodel were out hunting when Lucifer attacked, and Emyr is shamelessly glad of it.
They'd left earlier that morning to hunt for meat and catch insects. It'd taken them hours, though only because of the sheer amount of food they needed to gather for some thirty-odd dragons, most of which are Imperials. On the way back, Emyr and Eirodel were pleased with their haul. Eirodel, as always, was the most chipper and satisfied, boasting about their abilities with a smile on his face. However, when they entered the lair, the jovial mood shattered. Emyr heard the murmuring coming from the entrance before he even stepped inside. Then came the smell of blood, different from the meat they carried. Eirodel, obviously, had not caught such warning signs, only realizing the grave scenario when he spotted the nine bodies lain out in corner. While Eirodel ran to his injured father's side, asking many questions in haste, Emyr froze. None of the murdered dragons he'd been particularly close to, but he still felt pity for them. Having lost many children himself, due to the cruelty of nature, the loss of life was regrettable, tragic. However, something else bothered him more. The lair was not safe. Not if an enemy - some odd creature named Lucifer - could sneak in and do so much damage. The strongest warriors of the clan had all received injuries, and none of them had been able to repay them. Wariness overtook Emyr. Eirodel, for all his talk, could never stand against such a creature of power and live. Neither could Emyr. The thought frightened him more than he allowed himself to admit. He loves Eirodel. More than anything. Protecting him from a charging wild boar or elk, a rabid wolf, is one thing, and it's easy. But from the unnatural? Emyr is no expert on such matters, nor is he strong enough. In the new city being built, the Ancient Guard having abandoned their old lair, Emyr and Eirodel still serve as the budding kingdom's hunters. Though, now when they hunt, Emyr takes extra time out of their day, before any kills, to train with Eirodel. They spar with one another, learning how to fight against dragons - and those that pretend to be so - and not just the beasts they hunt. Emyr knows the royal knights could train them better, but he doesn't trust them to not accidentally injure Eirodel. He will have to do. Emyr is a serious dragon, though he loves entertainment and Eirodel's lively nature. Only a select few have managed to weasel themselves under his personal walls, to see him at his most vulnerable. Only Ezekiel and Eirodel's family know he is a prince of the Starfall Isles. |
