Valkyrie

Valkyrie happened upon the lair at the onset of Drakeharvest as if to answer Gardenia's prayers for a protégé. She indicated a willingness to take on the duty of preparing countless dragons for their journeys into the never-ending battle, and now surpasses even her mentor in how well she carries out the role.

When conversing with trainees, she is soft-spoken, patient, and factual. She uses her energy-reading to know when she should adjust her pace so as to best suit their learning needs. It does not bother her to go slower, or to repeat lessons; it is all in the best interest of raising capable warriors. Better that they know what they are doing.

Valkyrie has always felt that the battlefield is her calling, but she never quite felt any inclination to fight for the Arcanist's sake. She took the time to figure out which deity she felt closest to and decided upon the Icewarden. Rather than choosing to become one more dragon to serve him directly, she knows there is a greater benefit and purpose to training a whole army of others for his cause.

It's widely regarded as a one-way trip to travel so far up, even moreso for dragons not born to ice, but... An entire expedition team plans to go together, they say. And she could even exchange battle tips and tricks with the others along the way. It should be worth her while.
