You open your eyes slowly, unsure of where you are. It looks hazy due to the pearl-tinted fog- what the- There are so many dragons near you, all looking into the distance drearily. That's when you hear someone amongst the crowd, "Don't stress, its a safe place here. Welcome to the dreamscape"

The dragon walks forward, weaving through the crowd.

"You mean to tell me that i'm dreaming? Does that mean your not real?"

"No questions, it will turn the dream bad if you don't like the answer. I'm real, i live here. Unfortunately when people dream, they don't have the ability we possess. The ability to walk outside the illusion. We walk towards the truth instead of sleeping peacefully with lies."

"How come you don't wake up?" You blurted, curiosity overpowering your sense of where the boundary of questions are.

"I'm stuck in a coma from the war, i may never wake up. I could very well die here"

"Am i experiencing a coma? Will i be stuck here too?-"
"Stop. You will awaken with these memories. Which unlike dreams won't fade."

You stop, "But you'll be alone again"

"Being alone in the middle of a crowd, the one quote that will never have a truer meaning"

"I'll come back, I won't let you be alone forever"

She smiles at you, putting a hand on your chest. Then gently pushes you down, you awaken in the midst of your clan. She pushed you out of the dreamscape.

You immediately lay back down, trying to fall back asleep. But you can't. As if she will not let you return, at least not for tonight.
