Wait. You don't know who King Dave is? Surely you have heard of him before? Well, if not, allow me to introduce to you the sole sovereign ruler of Sornieth!
King Dave is [s]entitled, narcissistic, obnoxious and secretly a coward. Probably his only good quality is that he is[/s] wealthy.
However, some end up finding him hilariously charming. He receives many gifts from his followers, which helped him to establish this wealth. It henceforth allowed for his proclaimed status as royalty to become believable.
His infamous ridgeback army is often spotted marching along the Mirrorlight Promenade's ruins. But where did these dragons that somewhat resemble the King come from anyways? Some say they are his clones. But one thing's for sure; They were born to guard, to serve.
Their fruity-toned scales and bright strawberry wings flock the area in which they roam, now stationed around a tall stone castle. This medieval-esque building was crafted by one of the King's many architects.
Inside, the ridgeback sits on his velvety throne, surrounded by piles of treasure; His servants fanning him and feeding him grapes by hand, his favourite food.
The hallways are draped with luxurious red and gold curtains, also decorated with countless custom statues of himself. The castle serves as a symbol of his newfound wealth and a reminder of his goal, to take over Flight Rising, the game.
[s]Yes, the ridgeback is self-aware and shattered the 4th wall with his spear-like nose years ago. He took over my page, my clan, my life.[/s]
He [s]exalts[/s] *ahem* exiles every single dragon I buy that doesn't look like him. He's waiting for the right moment to take over the community. [s]DO NOT support him by spreading his word. Please stop encouraging him. I'm begging you. He already has a big enough ego.[/s]

Before all this, I swear- I restarted my lair so many gosh darn times. Like- SO many times. Every few months I'd pick a theme, for example a Gen1 lair, a pearlcatcher monolair, India inspired, Greco-roman inspired, ect... Each time I'd get rid of ALL my dragons and come out with new ones. My Flight Rising account withstood many, many change. But, through these hectic times, only one thing had remained the same: [b]King Dave the ridgeback[/b]. He started as a joke dragon, and turned into my comfort dragon. He stayed in my lair through thick and thin.
After purging my lair for the last time, I left FR on a hiatus. I was burned out. I was struggling for a wee bit as to how would I be able to rejoin FR with a completely empty lair, all of my previous stories and lore erased due to my compulsive actions.
I took one look at King Dave again, and was reminded why I loved Flight Rising in the first place. It was therapeutic to me, and most of all, I missed my online pals. So WHAM BAM here I am, back and better than ever.
I told myself to not worry about my lair having to look nice, hoping to please others with my dragons. This was just for myself. So, why not FILL UP MY ENTIRE LAIR WITH RIDGEBACKS THAT RESEMBLE KING DAVE??!!
Insane, I know. I have no idea why I'm doing this,,, for fun, I guess? I am EMBRACING the chaos, King Dave is rising to power. And nobody, I repeat, NOBODY can stop us. [emoji=ridgeback winking size=1]

[font=Avenir][size=4]This idea originated from my game thread. If you're an alliance with King Dave, you'll be able to snag a job!! Basically, after signing up, there'll be certain situations in which the King will provide a request to these dragons, prompting a little roleplay exchange!
After fulfilling such requests, King Dave will give you a small tip of [emoji=treasure size=1] or [emoji=gem size=1]!
You can sign up by simply having your desired dragon ask the king, which job they want! (see below for the current list of jobs, ill def be adding more, feel free to suggest!)

Sometimes he skewers them onto his snoot, that way saving them for later. His servants are trying to grow a vineyard, but currently are relying on exports from allies. Also, note the king prefers grape juice over wine.
When he refers to the real world, he says that he likes grapes exported from France. French grapes. Like... random yet oddly specific but ok Dave.
I have no idea why he's obsessed with them. The king is, as you know, extremely eccentric. Just if he orders you to bring him grapes, you better bring them to him right away. Otherwise, he'll start throwing a tantrum and screeching. [/columns]
