Biography

Grimhilde
Long Live The Queen

"..."

Once, so the story goes, a dragon dwelled in the Foxfire Bramble, high within a tower of dark stone. She was a vain thing, a Wildclaw with a face so terribly beautiful and a heart so terribly cold. She loomed high and mighty above her domain, bejewled and bedecked in finery far better than any her 'clan' had. She took and took, her people suffering while she grew rich.

Her prized possesion was a bejweled mirror placed within a large locket. She'd wear this piece almost everywhere, opening the locket to look at her own reflection several times a day. She loved to gaze on her own face, but she could not see the dangers that lurked behind her.

The Wildclaw fell, as is the fate of most tyrants. Overthrown by her own clan, she was defeated and destroyed. Her blood mingled with her own hoard of gems and jewels as she breathed her last, the so-called 'evil queen' of the Foxfire Bramble finally defeated.

When the people returned to the hoard the next day, they found Grimhilde.

Spawned from that very mirror locket the Wildclaw so valued, Grimhilde was cast from the clan's lands for fear of what she could represent. She was taken from place to place by travelleing merchants until she was taken on as a living curio by the Wormrott Grotto clan.

Her strange past of tyrants and jewels lingers on the Fae. If she encounters a reflective surface Grimhilde will stare at her reflection for hours, as if searching for something she once knew. Otherwise the Fae can be found motionless among the clan's hoard. From time to time she simply...appears when the leaders of the clan are discussing political matters. Grimhilde is returned to her proper place every time, but she creeps back in when least expected.

It is almost as if she feels more...comfortable among mirrors and secrets.

"Looking-glass upon the wall,
Who is fairest of us all?"

And the looking-glass would answer,

"You are fairest of them all."
