Picante's skin has an oddly satisfying rubber texture, like your favorite bouncy ball from when you were a kid. Even her feathers feel like some sort of polymer, though they have all the makings of a regular feather, downy barbs and all. The gemstones that her body produces are hard, yet polished. You don't want to spend too much more time petting Picante however, as she smells strongly, like sulfur and smoke from fireworks, and it makes your eyes water. You'd probably better wash your hands later in case whatever chemicals she was playing with earlier got on her somehow.
