Not every sea monster patrols the depths..
Some watch the very surface, light colors a false comfort
After all, the black market is no place to learn morals
The lapping of the waves was gentle as the young imperial stepped into the water, bright eyed and happy. Shyra peered out from the safety of the water curiously. The water dropped off into the depths of the ocean behind her, and the imperial was coming closer. She grinned, going over with the kindest smile she could muster. The imp was sweet and didn't seem scared.
Good.
She swam further and further into the water, easily cutting through. The imperial was having trouble. And just at the dropoff...
She snapped her claws around their head and dragged them under the water, kind grin turned predatory as the larger dragon struggled, bubbles trailing up to the surface. But where a guardian would fail in strength, the beast she truly was stood the perfect chance. And only when the dragon in her claws went limp did she finally swim back to the surface
