Biography

Haasuldiin
Pronounced Haas-ul-diin
He/Him_____________.
Mate of Yahgrahnax

Seeker Order
Prison Guard
Dripcave Deputy

Haasuldiin and his mate, Yahgrahnax, are both young members of the Seeker Order of Gaolers. Though dedicated to their duty in guarding those kept within the Fortress of Ends, they weren't very excited about the idea of staying there for the entirety of their lives. So, when the Seeker Order was reformed, they jumped at the chance to go out into the world. What better opportunity to fulfill their duty in protecting Sornieth while also getting to explore? Excitedly, they set off.

Unfortunately, they didn't get very far.
Haasuldiin and Yahgrahnax intended to travel to all the ends of the world in their hunt for the Shade and its horrorbeasts. They heard tell of a little clan located in the southern Frigid Floes that operated a small fleet of trade ships. Soon enough, they arrived at Frostgrove Sanctuary, hoping to secure passage across the vast ocean to the north. Before they could make a deal, however, the two were horrified to discover that some of the clan's denizens definitely met the qualifications for being imprisoned in the Fortress of Ends.

Without hesitation, Haasuldiin and Yahgrahnax demanded that these "atrocities" be handed over to them at once. Ceremar, the clan's monarch, was not so willing to comply. She knew that, strange as these dragons were, they were trustworthy, and an icy imprisonment for all eternity was not what they deserved. The two Gaolers persisted, but quickly found that their lack of experience - combined with how severely outnumbered they were - wouldn't work in their favor.

Eventually, Ceremar and the Gaolers reached a compromise: the two could join the clan as guards to "keep an eye" on things, so long as they didn't cause any trouble for their "suspected targets." Haasuldiin and Yahgrahnax reluctantly agreed. They were originally very apprehensive towards Darkblood and Gossamer, but over time, their concerns have dwindled. Now, the two primarily act as guards of the clan's prison. They watch over those who are detained for wronging the clan, though they struggle to understand the reasoning when prisoners who have "served their time" are released.

This new undertaking hasn't overwritten their original goal, of course. Haasuldiin and Yahgrahnax still make time to go out and hunt for signs of the Shade - such is the way of those in the Seeker Order.

Notes
  1. Haasuldiin's name is based on words of power from the language of dragons in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
    1. His name translates as follows: Haas - Health; Ul - Eternity; Diin - Freeze
    2. So long as their is ice, he shall live in good health.
  2. Within the clan's prison, prisoners are not usually held permanently; most minor offenses, like theft, are punished with a few days of detainment, followed by expulsion. However, some crimes are too egregious to be forgiven, & dragons who commit such are likely to be held indefinitely. Regardless of a prisoner's sentence, one can be sure that Haasuldiin & Yahgrahnax will be keeping a watchful eye on them.
