Biography
Brooke I don't remember when I obtained her, sadly. Obtained Coatl & Perma-baby 8/19/17 Needs Pinstripe/noxtide/capsule Past wrote:
Brooke was never far from her twin sister, Basil. They had gone everywhere together. She was the older, and larger twin of the two - and her personality always seemed to stand out, or simply because she annoyed another drake enough that it was hard NOT to notice her by then. The sisters prepare to leave each other for the first time in their lives. One to stay in the Wind clan that has become their second home, the other to go seek knowledge at the Observatory. Brooke had set out, feeling more alone then ever without her sister by her side. Had she made a mistake, making such a journey? Leaving the safety of her home, of her dear sister. Stumbling, lost in despair, she bumped into Apollo, a handsome tundra who's colors were so unlike her own. With a slight blush to her cheeks, she'd mumble an apology, explaining why she had been so distracted - as she felt the need to do. "All is well, may i offer you a night's stay with my clan?" he'd rumble, his voice deep and seemingly sweet. "Oh, okay," was all she could seem to muster, her shyness only becoming more noticable to her with the absence of her sister. Did only being with her sister bring out her personality, that inner fire she had been teased about? After that night, and every night that came, she stayed with the clan of misfits. They made her feel welcomed, comfortable, like her own egg had even hatched here, her fire bloomed, molding her into the adult drake she turned into. There wasn't a day that went by without thinking of her sister, still so dear and close to her heart despite the years apart. As they moved from the Arcane laced woods, into that of the light; she missed her old home even more. The heartache was sickening, she loved everyone here, true; and she didn't regret her decision.. she just had felt like a piece was missing, like a half of her had been permanently placed somewhere else. With a sigh, she let her thoughts drift, hoping to find some peace from her inner turmoil. |
Her heartache worsened... Lost within, being uprooted once again she found herself trying... mmm, alternative methods with the clan's herbalist, their sage whom doubled up as a hermit-like psychologist. The oddest thing, truly. She sighed, leaning back against the warm, earthy wall, staring out and up at the stars. Sita told her the way to forget her worries and to wipe the ache from her chest permanently; however, the cure was also a curse, in a sense. Permanently rooting her into the form of a hatchling, with a child-like wonder and sense once more.... As if, turning back time itself, and of course scattering her own molecules into another... species. A clean slate, mentally and psychically. Did she want that? Did she want to forget Basil, forget her old home(s) and rely solely on the lair and her clanmates to support her once more, to become other? She sighed, lifting a clawed paw to rub her face - such a decision.... |
