However, unbeknownst to the Empress and her people, Lucilla has risen in the ranks of her clan for the specific purpose of usurping the throne from her Empress, having hidden her true intentions all these years behind a well-crafted persona of subservience and gentleness. As of now, only a select few know of Lucilla's true character, but those who do have long since pledged themselves to seeing her plan come to fruition—no matter the cost. So, whilst the Empress and her genuinely loyal subjects in Sol Agrippae presume Lucilla to be representing their clan in Aeolia for the Sol's prosperity, the hidden truth of the matter is that she intends to make any connections that she can whilst here to ensure that her impending reign will be supported by a powerful foreign party.
