Biography
Quote:
Kronos kind of hated his job. The three crazy warriors were tearing the dragon apart, playing around and laughing with it. It was a horrendous sight and Kronos hated it. When they were done, Shanny sauntered over and held the heart before him. "Freeze this! Its useful!" She said. Kronos frowned, looking at the dirt and grime at the edges. It was long gone of use, but he didn’t have the guts to say it.
"Sure. Hand it over."
The heart was slumped by his feet, Shanny running back to continue the carnage. It wasn’t always like this. Some teams he worked with had the brains to preserve the victim right before or after death, with no further damage. These guys though… he sighed, picking ip the meat and putting it in the burlap sack. Then, channeling his magic, it was frozen solid.
It wasn’t the fancy never-melting ice some ice dragons could do. His magic had diminished greatly after leaving the prisons. The Icewarden had likely reclaimed most of it, leaving just enough to let the wildclaw live. Kronos could not even be a guard after being released. His body had been so frozen, so weak and bruised, another day in the icefields would have surely killed him.
The string of events that followed were outright absurd. The storm, the chase, and before he knew, Styx had him pinned to the ground. Kronos was sure his life was over right there…
Yet the mirror dragons had seen something. For the next moment, Kronos was dragged off to the plague dragon’s cave.
Kronos was happy Styx did not eat him that day. The clan had treated his frostbite, given him a place to live, and a purpose. That should have been more than enough, but looking at the blood on his hands… the wasteland was not exactly his dream home. It was hot, dry, dangerous, and every other week he was sick and puking.
"Kronos, we are finiiiiished! We did a oopsie and squashed the rest, so we go home early!" Shanny exclaimed, brushing against him as she jogged by.
Its not all terrible. We’ll have a drink later, do some games. They celebrate life, which I wished I did back then.
