Cole

If there is someone upon whom you can rely on within the clan, Cole is a prominent candidate. Cole is one of the clan’s fighters. There is no other way to describe it; he is all claws and bulk, his loyalty and dedication unwavering. And yet, his ability to form bonds and interpersonal relationships with others is astounding - one only needs to take a look at his friendship with Ivy and Alex to affirm that. There is not another dragon who straddles the line between ferocious protector and warm friend better than him.

His dedication to his duty is commendable. His job, simply put, is to venture through the Forbidden Portal in search of glory and treasure to bring back to the clan. Whilst underwhelming when put into words, each journey through is in fact perilous and fraught with danger, and only the strongest dragons survive the onslaught of monsters that wait on the other side. Yet, Cole stands undeterred, brave and stoic, a rock in the storm: a gesture towards his sleeping form of an obsidian statue.

His protective nature manifests in two very different ways. Cole will not hesitate to use force to protect the clan. His claws and teeth are not just for show, and he will respond to any threat with the same deadliness with which he fights monsters. Cole will put himself between the intruder and his loved ones with no hesitation. He will fight until he draws his last breath to protect them. And yet, he is also the same dragon that can be found spending hours in the nursery, playing with the hatchlings with a large smile on his face. The tender way he treats the smaller hatchlings only proves his compassion and kindness, for despite all his battle prowess, Cole’s heart is one of the biggest within the clan.
