As far as Mirrors go, Verglas has long-since proven herself to be an incredibly adept flier. Less surprising among her kind, she is an expert survivalist.

Verglas was born to a small clan in the Wind-flight, making their home in the Reedcleft Ascent and priding themselves on their aerialists. From a young age, Glas was expected to make her travels without the assistance of an elder, and thusly built strong wing and chest muscles to maintain long flights and execute sharp, abrupt turns.

On the cusp of adulthood, Glas was tasked to surf the outer gusts of the Twisting Crescendo, as a rite of passage, of sorts. Though nearly successful, the young dragon was ultimately sucked into the vortex and flung about. With some struggle, she escaped the strong winds. Dazed (and likely concussed) she attempted her flight home, only to glide and collapse in the Frigid Floes, where she would struggle for survival for weeks.

Eventually found by a nearby clan, Glas would be nursed back to health and returned home, where she would be celebrated for her success. --Later, she left for the Shadow territories, following the eye-catching wings of a fellow mirror.

Verglas carries a number of survivalist items on her. Bamboo grass, canvas, and rope are tied taught to her back; a horn slung around her neck; and a utility knife strung against her left haunch. Added to the warm, feathery adornments and her protective goggles, Verglas is the very picture of a well-learned survivor.
