Alsike

The dragon that greets you is not who you expected. With the large office, large bookcase, and large pinwheels decorating the entrance, you had expected an Imperial presence inside- or at least a Guardian or Ridgeback. Instead, a small Fae waves at you from his perch on a wall scone.

"Hello. Welcome in, welcome in, please take a seat. I've heard that you're in the market for some help with your luck, and I'm sure we can match you with something just for your needs."

You hesitate, still surprised at the sight of the lucksmith. But the wind picks up outside, spinning the pinwheels even faster, and you decide it's best to go in before you're blown off the entrance ledge. Inside the office is inviting, sunshine streaming in and bathing the place with a pleasant glow, and the Fae gestures at the pillows strewn across the floor. Thankfully, it seems someone brought in cushions for any sized dragon who might come through.

"I'll just need one moment to get my wares," he says, turning and twitching his fins, "I will be right back."

He takes off running, before leaping to the bookcase. He climbs up and up the side, then reaches his goal- with a few steps he disappears behind jars and boxes, and you hear clinking and clattering, something falls and muttered curses drift your way.

You settle down, crossing your legs and relaxing into the cushions. It's warm, with the large open window, and a breeze dances with dust in the sunlight. You admire the bookcase display, a beautiful hoard. Jars of stones polished to a shine, insect carapaces pinned in boxes, brilliant feathers bundled together with string. Towards the bottom, a set of drawers, the labels faded but you can still make out some words- "Silver, Bronze, Azurite, Glass"- and twisted coils of metal dust the shelf around it. There's a standout, a plush large enough to embrace the Fae in its arms, high on the top of the bookcase. Sewn in a reclining pose, you cannot make out what it's supposed to be.

Suddenly he comes out from behind the jar of quartz, dragging a box much too large for him to easily handle, and by the time you think to go up and help he's dropped it off the shelf with a look of satisfaction, fins wiggling.

"Well, it's time to pick out your tokens," he says, "or the tokens you want to send to someone else, if you're in that sort of mood."

He opens the box- a massive chest for him, although perhaps a jewelry box for the Imperial this office obviously belonged to- and your eyes immediately dart towards the treasures inside. You lean in, curious about his wares, and he smiles.

"I have all sorts of Tokens and Talismans, things to bring you good luck, or bad luck if that's your goal. We also offer gift wrapping and deliveries, whether you're after lovely presents or mild misfortune."

He beams at you, pride radiating from him, but your focus is instead drawn to....
