Haya

Haya woke, and she did not know who she was when she did.

You may expect this to be the beginning of a story about a hatchling, but this is anything but: Haya was a full-grown dragon when she considered herself to be born. Because, on that day, she opened her eyes on the ice floes of the Icewarden's Domain, and although she knew she must have had some sort of life before then, she could not recall it. She never would recall it, because going forward, it didn't matter anymore.

All that truly mattered was building their new life, their new existence, and proving to the world first and foremost that they even existed in the first place. Luckily, that proved to not be too difficult; they joined their Clan not long after waking up alone, seeing how they sought shelter very quickly, lest they freeze to death. Since then, they have found a loving mate, Sayn, and further built their life from there.

Never again would they forget themselves, or be forgotten by those they thought had loved them.
