The stench filled his nose and almost turned his stomach. He was only dimly aware of the bog-muck that coated his scales.

He saw someone; a faint silhouette. He darted towards them, too focused on the throbbing in his skull to care about the freezing-cold water he slithered through.

Kill.

The silhouette became visible through the mist. A Tundra. A voice called out in a language he once knew. His mind felt like it would split in two trying to remember what the words meant.

Eat.

The figure noticed him. They shrieked. The sound pierced his eardrums and sundered his mind. He could not think. He could barely see...

Bite.

Kill.
