Biography

Starry Hill
from Kingdom Hearts

KsioCkL.gif

The 100 Acre Wood is a world first featured in the original Kingdom Hearts. It is discovered when Sora delivers the Old Book to Merlin from Cid, and remains accessible in Merlin's House. Sora must collect the 5 Torn Pages scattered throughout other worlds in order to seal the keyhole on Pooh's Storybook. The 100 Acre Wood is considered a mini-game world with the purpose of taking a break from the constant fighting of Heartless outside of the book. As such, Pooh's Storybook contains no heartless, and each mini-game is unlocked after recovering a Torn Page.

Initially, only Pooh is found in the book, but each returned Torn Page brings back the other characters and their mini-games. Upon completing all mini-games, the final cutscene taking place on the Hill plays, as all the reunited characters wave goodbye to their new friend Sora, who exits the book and seals the keyhole. The world is able to be returned to, allowing Sora to get the Cheer ability from Owl if all mini-games were beaten with the right scores.

The 100 Acre Wood returned in the direct sequel, Kingdom Hearts 2, where Sora must re-collect Torn Pages after the book is damaged in a Heartless attack. This time, there are new mini-games and new locations, as well as returning locations such as the Hill, now known as Starry Hill, which this dragon is based on.
