Aegon is hatched to the leaders of the clan on the eve of a great journey. He is still just learning to fly when they set out, and grows up in a series of camps, each one more unnerving than the last. At last, they reach their destination: a cliff facing the Forbidden Portal. The Portal's eerie light is inescapable as the clan begins to build a new lair. Aegon and his siblings are often left in the care of their older brother Rielle and his mate while their parents are drawn into constant consultations about the lair.

Aegon often watches the plainsrunners and bilworpers running around in the distance, teleporting away from each other in an endless game of tag. He grows restless with the lull of youth, and heads down the gentle slope of the bowl around the Portal. He is snatched back before he can get far, but he manages to pick something up while he's away from the lair: a crooked silver crown. No matter how his family tries, they cannot pry it from his grasp.

After leaving his birth clan, Aegon realized he had to form a new clan of his own, with the help of two friends who left with him, he formed Clan Avalon. Aegon was quick to ally his new clan with the Light-Forged and the Sakura Alliance. Now wearing his silver crown, Aegon leads his clan, hoping to someday be able to help his birth clan.
