Everyone else seemed to simply forget about Viridia; their sister, their daughter, their clanmate. But not Faunus, he would not let himself ignore what had happened to her, and what had been done to her.
He would save her.

From the moment he hatched, Faunus had a gleam of intelligence in his eyes and a profound curiosity within his soul. He always wanted to know everything about everything; his very favorite question (to the exasperation of every adult around him) was always "Why?". Thus, when his eldest sister disappeared, he naturally inquired why, but for once no one could give him an answer. At least, not a very good one. His parents would say "she's gone away for a while", but that wasn't satisfactory. So, he went to find out for himself. It was rather easy, for a precocious young dragon like himself, but oh gods how he wished he had never learned the terrible truth.
From that day on, Faunus was distant from his family. How could they all be ok with this? He began studying the magical arts, specifically curses, binding rituals, and the like. He made a promise to himself and to Viridia that he would somehow free her, and that he would find a way to allow her to live a normal life. This was not necessarily out of devotion to his sister, as he had only known her as a fresh hatchling, but he found he could not let himself rest when there was injustice taking place so very close to him.
Perhaps he will be a hero, one day.
