The clan’s lair was located a quick beat of wings away from a longneck village called Hathfeld. The two had a peaceful and helpful relationship. So he grew up with a friendly disposition to the People, especially the longneck. Hatchlings would often spend their time in the longneck village, playing with the longneck calves. It was more entertaining in the village than in the lair, plus the adult longneck would often teach the hatchlings various tricks of their trade if they stayed still long enough. As they grew Pehmel was also taught the magic used by their clan to find and shape various gemstones and precious metals. It is not smithing like that of fire-dragons, but rather moulding the material to the shaper’s vision. Pehmel however also knows how to use tools to cut and polish, a method employed by the longnecks. Pehmel quickly found himself more interested in the shaping and processing rather than the finding of gems. The artistic side of it appeals to him. Occasionally he will also shape stone and make sculptures, even delicate small pieces. Growing up around creatures that are rather delicate and small compared to obelisks taught them how to handle things with care. Wont do if you are constantly destroying your neighbours property or injuring your playmate. It was a good and peaceful life, but eventually Pehmel felt the call of adventure. Both the clan and the village helped kit him out for travel, his family donating raw material for him to work on and sell. Hathfeld made gear for him to carry around his goods. Then they held a party and waved him a fond farewell. As obelisks are long lived their family expect to see him again once they’d had their fill of wandering. On the road they met the fae-dragon Rhine. Despite Pehmel’s reserved introduction Rhine decided that she wanted a companion and joined Pehmel. The two got along well, much like a fea, Pehmel has a bit of a flat effect and doesn’t emote much. |

->  Traveller->  Lapidarist.-> While Pehmel’s interest lies primarily with gemstones and precious metals he is also a trained stone-shaper. -> He carries around various raw materials he finds travelling, when he and Rhine stop for a break he will work on them. -> They speak various languages, both draconic and beastclan, some of these were taught to them by Rhine. |
