Biography
Durendal's pride, like his loyalty to the Plaguebringer, is both absolute and unmatched. He is an arrogant warrior who thinks himself above most dragons, believing that he was claw-picked by the Plaguebringer as her champion. Coming of age around the same time as the legends of the "Crimson Shadow," Durendal soon convinced himself that it would be his destiny to slay this Shadowborn who would dare to insult the Plaguebringer and bring his skull to the Wyrmwound as tribute.
He has come to the Tangled Woods in search of Arondight. He did not expect one as savage as the Crimson Shadow to have his own clan, but he sees them as little more than additional heretics to slay on behalf of the Plaguebringer's glory. His first attempt to kill Arondight was a long and arduous battle that ultimately ended in the Ridgeback's defeat. Barely managing to escape, Durendal swore to one day return and slay the Crimson Shadow.
Currently, Durendal remains within the Driftwood Drag, hidden from the Inivum clan to recuperate from his defeat at Arondight's claws.
