The Shadowfire kitsune are an elusive and rare subspecies. Their powerful magic obscures their true nature from all but the most skilled and perceptive mages. Like other kitsune of legend, they are capable of taking a variety of forms and grow more tails over time.


Traveling through the shadows, Phaeton can obscure any traces of his presence. He prefers to stay at home to raise his kits and teach them the art of mastering the darkness.
