A rancher who works with animals. Mainly called on to keep wildlife out of the Institute's crops and occasionally archives.
Austro likes animals a lot and only removes vermin or unwanted beasts in an animal friendly way. He'll catch the critters in traps and release them far away from the Institute or rehabilitate them if they're hurt or stressed out from their experience. Austro gets his pick from the institute's vegetable gardens and orchards in exchange for his help.
Austro is very energetic and excitable. He can be a bit much, but he's a sincere guy who likes almost everyone. Despite his occupation there are certain animals Austro doesn't do well with. Creepy crawlies make him nervous and he's allergic to a lot of animals with fur (not to other tundras, fortunately) but that won't stop him from helping them too. He does best with birds and lizards.
