He took her in, taught her the ways of the water flight, and gave her a place to finally call home after years of wandering. In return, she gave the King companionship for more years than the clan can remember, a noble heir, a trusted confidant, and a lifelong best friend. She ruled the clan at his side with dignity and a strong sense of fairness. When her mate began to decline, she stood loyally by his side until the final choice to hibernate was made. Tideflower laid beside the King while he closed his eyes for what would be the final time, giving him what comfort and peace she could. She would rule on her own for another six months before she handed the throne to her son Oceanlight and his mate, retiring to the Hibernal Den beside her mate for her final slumber, reunited with Moontide at last.
