Darmok

There's something deeply wrong with Darmok. Everyone knows it. From Exodus who only took the dragon in because of his older brother Jallad's dying wish, to the priests and healers who try to heal his shattered, deranged mind, and those who unfortunately caught his attention. It's not that Darmok has done anything too depraved...that anyone can prove anyway.

But he has a secret. A terrible secret that claws and rends his very soul.

As terrible, as cruel, as bloodthirsty as Darmok is, he's nothing compared to his beloved, revered brother. Jallad took great delight in torturing and abusing his sibling since he was a toddler, twisting and breaking mind, body, and soul. Healing potions, threats, and Darmok's increasingly disturbing behavior kept Jallad's depravity well hidden until his untimely death due to a cave in.

Only Darmok knows the terrible things his brother has done. To him. To others. How many small bodies lie hidden in the labyrinthine tunnels of the undergrounds. But he could never tell. Who would believe him? Who would care? The truth chips away at what little hold on sanity the dragon has left, leaving him desperately hanging onto a knife's edge between what he has left and becoming what his brother tried to make him in to.
