Vail isn't really a member of the clan. He's more of a feral raccoon that digs through their trash and everyone is strangely fond of. Believed to be nocturnal, he is sometimes seen digging through discarded scraps outside the clan's tunnels, and sometimes follows departing night missions for a distance before being lost in the darkness.
Attempts to speak with him have led to blank stares, held for a few moments, then fleeing. Heartilation holds the record for most time spent the closest to Vail, having had the Wildclaw sit within meters of him while he was outside drawing constellations at night. The two paid little attention to each other, with the interaction ending when Heartilation went into the tunnels for the night and Vail returning to the underbrush.
