Sundry

At present, Sundry is a greenhorn merchant setting out on his first extended journey across Sornieth.

He has been paid a hefty sum to deliver a strange piece of cargo to a red skydancer named Carver in the Hewn City. His employer is a rather mysterious fae from the Tourmaline Archives known only as "The Archivist." Sundry thinks that's a rather silly title. Shouldn't everyone working at the Archives be known as an archivist? But the man is willing to pay 50,000 gold pieces up front to cart a crate from the Archives to the Hewn City, with more promised upon successful arrival of the cargo. Any merchant would be foolish to turn their nose up at such a sum!

With a cart full of other goods to barter, a nice garden atop the cart to keep him sustained, and the potential to recruit help from the nearby Tourmaline Trading Post, Sundry is eager to make his name as a merchant of great renown.

Sundry's cart is pulled by a team of four well-trained Redtail Gryphons. Their names are Tomato, Pepper, Strawberry, and Apple. Sundry raised them by hand and carefully trained them to serve as ideal beasts of burden. An antsy creature on account of his Snapper heritage, Sundry often walks alongside them. His not being in the cart saves space for merchandise, anyhow.

Sundry's starting supply is a whole lot of miscellaneous odds and ends from the Arcane lands that clans abroad may find useful. Native plants and small animals are tethered to the cart in places where Sundry can access and care for them easily, and various books, runestones, gems, and arcane oddments are packed in tidy crates throughout the rest of the wagon. A food garden grows on specially-designed platforms across the top of the cart; Sundry hopes it will be enough to sustain him whenever supplies grow thin throughout the journey. A platform cart containing the mysterious cargo is tethered to the back of the wagon, where it is unfortunately quite a visible target. A few extra talons will be necessary to help him keep an eye on it.
