Warning: Unnerving Lore with Horror/Gore Elements

Benesek Hornwall Diggory Casworon

.....It was ravenous. As the pulsating fleshy blob slid across the land, it devoured anything and everything in its path. Anything that attempted to touch it would melt from a broiling acid that oozed from its body. Drakes fled when they heard of its approach.

Kitto fingered her scarf absent-mindedly, staring out the nearby window with an anxious countenance that all others within the chamber shared.

Swamplurk was very upset, her frills trembling and twitching as she angrily addressed the visitor. "Kitto is my daughter. How dare you come to us and suggest that our very own princess put herself in harm's way."

"It is well known that the girl has talent. I myself would certainly believe her to have enough responsibility to deal with this threat as expected. If she were to abandon the mission, her blessing would provide immediate escape." The drake locked onto Kitto's wings with a greedy gaze, obviously coveting her physical mark of power. "That is, if she fails."

"I'll do it," Kitto announced. She looked calmly at her gaping mother. "I've spoken with many dangerous animals and calmed them; what he has said is true--I can do it."

"Listen to the child," the stranger interjected.

Swamplurk gave him a nasty look. "This doesn't concern you," she snapped, then ushered Kitto into the hallway to have a private word with her. "Kitto, dear, you have no idea what this thing is capable of. From the things he's said, this creature sounds extremely deadly. Please just... make a wise decision."

"Mother, I know I'm the smallest of my family, but I'm not incapable of doing hard things. I have to consider everyone else's life in this scenario--doing this mission could potentially save hundreds from hardships." She looked pleadingly into Swamplurk's eyes. "Please let me do what's right... You know in your heart that this is our only option."

The empress stood silently, thinking of Kitto's words before sighing softly. "I won't get in your way. But please, stay safe..."

.....Kitto caught a metallic, sickening scent in the air as she watched the abomination roll across the ground, leaving withering plants in its wake. Blood. She gripped the plant stalk that served as her perch and shuffled uneasily before timidly calling to the creature. "Umm, hello there! Do you, uh, need something?"

To her shock, it acknowledged her words and stopped abruptly. It approached her casually before halting before her and rearranging itself into a dragonoid form. Two piercing empty eyes opened. As it observed her, its assumed form became more recognizable. "My sister," the creature hissed, an abnormally long serpentine tongue flicking out and curling around itself several times before retreating back into the being's mouth. It wasn't an it after all, but a he. His haunting eyes drilled into the tiny dragon, who almost looked like a flower in comparison to him. "Where?"

Discerning his blunt statement and understanding that he probably was not a native speaker of her language, Kitto nervously squirmed around and said carefully, "I don't know the location of your sister. We could look for her together?" She offered him her small hand.

He glared down coldly at her claw, then narrowed his eyes as he considered her words. "Well." He touched her hand with his own, and chills raced down Kitto's body, but nothing happened. He did not hurt her.

Kitto could not hide her relief or growing excitement, so she beamed up at him cheerfully. "My name is Kitto."

He stared for a few moments before returning her grin with a small eerie smile of his own. "Called Benesek."

"Benesek," Kitto repeated.

"Look for sister together, Kitto," Benesek said softly, still holding her hand firmly enfolded within his own.

Kitto perked up further after hearing Benesek say her name. "Yes, together. We can be friends!"

"Yes," Benesek continued, then paused for a moment. "Good friends?"

Kitto nodded enthusiasticly.

Finally, the beast released her hand, leaving a small piece of residue that curled around her wrist like a bracelet.

This was slightly worrying to Kitto, but she quickly pushed her fears aside and forgot them immediately, instead focusing on the promise she had just made. "Right. Where are you from? Does your sister look like you?"

"From there," Benesek answered, looking into the sky, then proceeded to answer her second question. "No, but yes."

Kitto looked up in puzzlement. "From the sky?" She thought for a few moments. "Oh! Iwi!" This was going to be a piece of cake. Iwi was most likely Benesek's sister, and even if she wasn't, Kitto felt sure that Iwi could help them both search for the alien's lost sibling. Kitto skipped happily back toward the Province, leading Benesek closer to the home she had known her whole life. Little did Kitto realize what she was getting herself into, much less the entire royal family. Finding Benesek's sister was, surprisingly, literally going to be the easiest thing to come; but what happened after that point--now that was going to be a challenge.

.....The halls were dark and hung with an aura of gloom. Kitto stared at the rippling substance still coiled around her wrist and shuddered. Why did it take so long to realize... To realize what it really meant. What it was. Her mind was a cacophony of mixed emotions, tumbling and twisting within, making her head hurt. Yet even though she felt a deep aching pain, she could not find any anger. "I know you're listening," she whispered. "You have been all along, haven't you? You didn't know though. Neither did I..." 5ZqCHUr.png

His bio is a WIP (if you couldn't tell, lol)

Part of the Cinderkill Assassins, a Thiefshredder

"So, you deal with thieves I assume?" you ask, approaching the red being. You notice that he does not quite look like other drakes, but has a strange slime-like appearance that is rippling, rather than scales or fur.

The drake watches you coldly, his unnaturally long tongue flicking out and snaking around his muzzle twice before returning into his mouth. When he speaks, his voice is eerie and distorted, making chills race down your spine. "Common thieves? Oh, certainly not. Most of the robbers steal trivial physical objects, nothing compared to what we hunt down. Yes, only the truly evil thieves, ones who steal lives. Murderers and slave traders are the bounties we go after, and be assured, we don't bring them back alive. Merciful souls will be less inclined to take on this title. It is a heavy responsibility to be a thiefshredder; so go forth then, and live up to this name!" His ghostly eyes narrow, drilling into yours with strange searching. "That is, if a new cinder like yourself is up for it."
