Periwinkle's work is threefold- midwife, nesting grounds keeper, and hatchling-sitter. She assists during the laying of a nest of eggs, takes care of them as they incubate, and watches over them after they hatch. She usually has little to do with hatchlings other than watching them when their parents can't, but recently, three young mirrors have fallen under her care. They all turned up unexpectedly, in desperate need of both medical and loving attention, and they all have some...oddities.

Periwinkle is the perfect dragon for her job. She's kind, gentle, and motherly, protective of her wards and any hatchlings who fall under her care. She loves her job, and loves her wards. She knits in her spare time (not that she has much), little hats or socks or sweaters for new young ones. Her voice is soft and calming, perfect for bedtime stories and lullabies. Her arms are wide, perfect for hugs. Her back is tall and broad, perfect for young mirrors to climb on and hitch a ride.

Periwinkle always wanted to be a mother, ever since she was a child. She didn't even know she was a girl yet when she decided that. Her clan was... less than pleased. They were a strict group, grooming her to be a battlemage someday. She ran before they could change her heart, and in time, found herself in Clan Flygefisk as a teenager. They took her in, let her be herself, let her be the mother she was meant to be.
