Biography

Blacksmith
Clan Grandpa






The blacksmith. He lost his wife and children in a fatal rock-slide near a deep lavapool. As far as he knows, there were no survivors. It was several years of self induced isolation before he met October. During this time, he perfected his craft and now makes the most resilient armor this side of Sornieth.

Though he has become close to the dark tundra, he is still sullen and keeps to himself. He mostly crafts armor for October and his warriors, also repairing or making new weapons as needed, but these are not his specialties. When called to fight, he uses a large warhammer resembling his hammer at the forge. His apprentice, and enthusiastic Spiral, has a passion for jewelery making.

While not particularly young himself (he is only slightly younger than October) Thanatos has an old, wounded soul; hes quiet and it seems that his mind wanders into the past often. He can be a bit grumpy at times, but has a soft spot for hatchlings. He is often referred to as the clans grandfather, and is called "gampy" or "grandpa" by many of the younger dragons.

The alchemist, Tyr, reminds him painfully of his lost children and wife, and try as he might he could not prevent himself from bonding with the small coatl, taking him under his wing of sorts. Without meaning or wanting to he had become a father figure to Tyr and is very protective of him. Tyr is not allowed near the lavapools or the forge.
