'Despite being one of Edur's protégés, this dragon likes to sleep for 8 months of the year.'
If Edur is the King, then Winter is the Prince.

Winter is only awake for 4 months of the year - October 'till January. Some may accuse him of being lazy, but he just can't stay awake when the weather isn't cold, almost like a reverse hibernation. Despite this, Edur sees a lot of potential in the young Tundra and has quickly become Winter's surrogate father. One day, Winter is expected to take over the Clan- that scares the other dragons more than the prospect of their beloved leader leaving.

Winter is just a big teenager bundle of fluff, everyone finds his odd sleeping patterns frustrating but overall he is very endearing. Like Edur, he is a likeable dragon and very capable of leading the clan when he needs to, but he'd rather just sleep, drink lots of water and laugh alone with salad.
