Hesperus has picked up a nickname ever since objects started moving around him when noone or anything was touching them; Esper. Its misleading, because his somber spirit familiar, Spoof, is pulling pranks on anyone who can't see him, which is mostly everybody. ESP without the esp.

Nobody quite knows what kind of creature Spoof was in life, but in spirit he preys on the unaware with simple, playful pranks that at most leave a slight bruise on the pride.
Esper started to close off his heart to strong emotions when he entered the ranks of the Whirlwind; watching the multitude of kites fall and get up again, to tear down the endless droves of mire inhabitants wore into his soft heart to the point of nightmares.
He doesn't speak much, delivering his bounties to the higher ups with a nod and a flare of his head-feathers.
However, he found kinship with a fellow recruit; Triton. They silently compete on who can whirl through the mire faster. All in good fun.
