Mare: I know I shouldn't of went down into the labyrinth. If it wasn't for Selenium, I probably wouldn't have made it out. But I had to see it. The world The B E A S T had made. Reality doesn't make sense down there. The devoured walk around freely. Like they are normal, real, alive, but I can see it behind their eyes. The grasping darkness as they stared at me in that flower field. Well, most of them. There was a dragon covered in gold. Unlike the others who stared, he...cried. I don't understand. He thought I was coming to save him. Why would I help any piece of that B E A S T? They are all part of it. Just puppets it plays city with. She gives them bodies, mimics their old personalities, but in the end, they are all her. But why did that one cry?

Queen: The monster...It doesn't just kill and take our territories. It steals our young, our fighters protecting our lands, and seals them away. At least, they could die with honor in battle but now they live as trophies. I've heard of beasts aligning with dragons before and I didn't understand it. But if it will help me be rid of that creature then consider us allies. Mare, my clan of beasts come from all over the land hoping to retrieve their friends and family. I hope with your help, and magic, we might be able to.

Mare, the child of a great mage who died sealing The B E A S T ages ago. She is the definition of all work and no play. If she isn't studying how to increase her magic she is in the desert protecting beastclan members and watching the canyon for more activity. Gifted in both Arcane and Light Magic, she works with the beastclan's to find and destroy the released monstrosity. Whether it will result in her death she won't be sealing it this time. She shall destroy it.

Queen, descendant of a dragonmancer who died on the battlefield stalling
The B E A S T. Her fellow beastclan members are being stolen away by this monster and she will stop it at any cost. She dances along the battlefield tearing at the weak points of dragons and binding their souls to her service. Mare gained her favor after she risked her life protecting Queen's clan from a dragon raid. She works with the mage to find a way to destroy The B E A S T.

Currently living in Goldensparc to have greater access to their magical resources. She has her own small home, one fit for a small lair. She has no official lair-mates but those she considers allies visit from time to time. It's mainly just her, Lockey and Queen. She is also a frequent visitor of Kal's teahouse. Spending the majority of her study hours there.

Mare came here after she felt the seal break. She doesn't know exactly how she knew but she figures it was that last fail safe her mother placed after sacrificing her life to create it.
A Dragon named Tau has joined her group. She knows he sees them as a stepping stone but she will take all the help she can get. As long as they don't disrupt the Stormcatcher's work, he seems to be up for anything.
When she went into The B E A S T's labyrinth, she was confronted by the strangeness of its powers. The labyrinth walls were a mix of rock and flesh, going longer than it should be possible. She felt watched and that feeling increased as she passed through the ruins of the first devoured settlement and into an impossible flower field. It felt wrong. This creature of unending hunger, of gleeful destruction, creating something so beautiful. And in the center of these flowers, a black coatl covered in gold sang as a bland one watched her enter. She felt like she was being allowed to approach, every word out of her month was a gift given to her as she felt surrounded. He asked her if she had come to save him, to help him escape and she snarled the truth at him. And as he cried she realized the nature of this world. The horror as the city far in the distance, that was lit by no visible sun, that could never fit in the small area The B E A S T was known to inhabit, turned black. Buildings turning into hands, mouths, claws. Dragons melting into the mass crawling its way to her. The flower fading from gold to eyes blinking and biting, entangling her as blinding streaks of gold fell from the coatl's eyes. As she was dragged back into a panel of glass she could hear his denial.

"No, please! Help me! I'm Not One Of Them!"

She won't say it but she considers her lair to be made up of Queen, Lockey, Sahar, Selenium, Kal, and other regulars at the teahouse. She trusts them with her life and will defend them always. Though it's questionable if it's for selfish reasons or because she actually liked them.
