Biography
The Light dragon who discovered her own truth, founded a new religion, and was declared a Heretic.
Later, the dragons of her birth-clan would agree there was something strange about the dragon-who-would-be-called Varda from the start. As with all good stories, this wasn't quite true. She had a quite ordinary childhood, noted for her thoughtfulness and for her ability, after a long period of silence, to come out with precisely the question her teachers least wanted to answer. But that sort of thing tended to be seen as a positive for Light dragons.
It was some time before her teachers noticed the first trait that set her apart from other followers of the Lightweaver. Varda was in love with the stars.
The glorious sweep of the galaxy, the patterns of the constellations, the bright gems of the night echoed by the gems bonded to her own flesh. More, she was in love with the deep darkness that cradled those bright sparks of light.
By itself, this might not have amounted to much more than an odd quirk. There were astronomers even among the Lightweaver's followers. But those bright lights, so far away, made her wonder. What were these lights to the Lightweaver? What was the darkness to the Shadowbringer? What did the tales of the gods not tell?
It was then a young dragon came out of the icy south , bringing with him an ancient book and his own questions. The answers they would seek together would shake the world.
