PERSONALITY
Raven is a very shy and introverted dragon. She's very sweet, but she usually keeps her emotions hidden. This began back as a hatchling: if you don't show bullies a reaction, they're way more likely to leave you alone. Her trust issues are apparent, and she's seemingly riddled with anxiety. Raven has a lot of growing to do!
She does tend to hold grudges, though, keeping them bottled up inside. When angered, Raven will mutter dark curses under her breath. Raven's been trying to figure out what, if anything, these curses do. And she's been trying to stop it, but it just... happens.

She can often be found reading books. Fiction, science, magic... almost anything, really! Raven also spends a decent chunk of her free time just trying to learn about her extra wings and why they exist. She's also eager to see if there are other Veilspun like her. She'll occasionally take trips to clans that Clan Acamar is allied with, or even visit 'neutral' territory like the trading post just to observe.
BACKSTORY
Raven, born with a secondary set of wings (which included extra wings in some odd places), had a lonely childhood. Very, very lonely. In her neck of the woods, this was strange. Some Veilspuns thought she was blessed with potent magic, while others believed her to be cursed. Raven learned to ignore the whispers and fearful stares, but it was difficult.
Nobody knew why she had the wings. Her clanmates theorized endlessly: perhaps they would allow for better flight? Or maybe they were designed to catch the eye of a potential mate? One thing is for sure, Raven herself has no clue. But she's still very young, just barely an adult. She's got time to figure it out!
After leaving her original clan behind, she chose to live alone. This, however, didn't last long. Raven found herself in a thriving Ice clan! But it was difficult, she still didn't fit in... and then the clan disbanded, leaving her alone yet again. Her crush, Midnight, had moved far away. Heartbroken, Raven moved back north. She settled in Arcane territory. She survived on a very limited diet of insects and water inside a shallow but dark cave for months.
Soon, though, the food in the cave ran out. The water stopped flowing. Raven left, searching for a new and uninhabited home for awhile. Eventually, though, she was found by one of Clan Acamar's food gatherers in the Starwood Strand. Bythun had been out collecting plants and herbs when he found poor Raven. Worryingly thin and small, he offered to give her some food back at the clan's inn. She begrudgingly agreed, having to ride on the Guardian's back because she was too exhausted to fly.
After being seen to by the clan's healers, she learned just how close to death she was. The dragons in Clan Acamar nursed her back to health, though, and Raven soon grew healthy once more. She wanted to leave, to get away from this place. It kept her on edge, that it could end at any moment. Or maybe dragons would begin mocking her. But no matter how hard she tried, Raven couldn't pull herself away. The Veilspun here were pleasant, and welcomed her into their swarm with open claws. The rest of the clan seemed accepting of her, and she didn't need to go hungry.
Raven spent days considering her options, but she eventually decided to stay. She still feels on edge, and she doesn't talk much with others, but perhaps with time she'll learn to trust again.
