"From the beginning, I knew a part of me was gone. I belong somewhere else, with someone, or something. I've always been told that I would make a difference, I was born for a great job but I never understood what that meant. All I could explain of it was the reason that I always felt exhausted by the middle of the day, it felt as if I was carrying mountains on my shoulders. I always woke up as soon as the sun started to rise and would be asleep by the time it was gone, it felt like we were one. If I was awake, it was awake. I remember staring out at I and feeling as if it was the world, nothing else could take me away from it, I just wanted to reach out and pick it up in my claws. Those who knew of these feelings always said maybe it was true since my yellow skin matched it's color andI was always burning hot, even in the dead of winter. I've always wanted to feel complete, happy, whole. I wanted to know why I was like this, why I seemed so different. You. You are why I'm so different. We're one entirety. We're time itself. Huh. Not pressure, right?" Hour turned to look at Noon, her silk black scales looked pale in the sun as she nodded.

"Sleepy?" Hour asked and again, Noon nodded.

Now, Noon laid down and curled up in a circle. Hour stared out as the world slowly began to fall back into motion as Noon slowly fell back asleep. The birds started to move from their frozen positions, hanging in the sky, the leaves rustled with thr wind. The earth came to life as she fell asleep.
