Biography

first familiar gotten to awakened!
april 15th, 2024 - Primrose Mith 'Flurry'

Hatched in a nest with some of his siblings, but they didn't have parents anywhere nearby. There were no tracks, signs of a fight, nothing. Silk was the weakest of the 4 hatchlings, but he often cleaned the den and did a lot of work for his siblings so he wasn't completely useless. Silk made things like cloth, sculptures, and other household items for the four. Sometimes he would make things that could be traded for other things he couldn't make, and he decorated their nests, making them well hidden and practical.

As they grew, Silk got better at hunting for small insects. He wasn't great at it, and Quail still did most of the hunting for the four, but Silk helped him sometimes. Since they lived on the melting icebergs, they had to move around a lot, but since they were so small as Fae, it was easy to find places to build nests.

Their leader of sorts, Watcher, who also hatched first, hardly ever rested. He spent day and night scouting the area, fighting attackers, and, most importantly, keeping his siblings safe. After all, they were all he had. Silk never really understood the torture he put himself through: Sleepless nights, meal less days, and plenty of scars. Watcher was a great leader, sibling, and most of all, a great friend.

Their only sister, Weaver, took some of the trading things Silk made into towns and traded them for books or money. She was obsessed with knowledge, and was able to identify nearly every bug and dragon on sight, and how they tasted, and how strong they were, and every other thing about them. She was the second to hatch, and often joked to Quail and Silk how she was the "Older Sister" which meant she was meant to be listened to. It was all jokes, but she did command them sometimes, even if Watcher was around. She did have a voice that made you want to do what she said, and she had a masterful way with words. She would often stay awake at night studying and sky gazing, sometimes with Watcher. Silk designed an easy-to-build room just for her that he would work with Watcher to build whenever they moved nest locations, and the moon would light up the room, allowing her to read and sky gaze at the same time. It was dangerously exposed, though, so she had to be extremely quiet whenever she used it, and make sure to cover it back up when she went to bed.

First hatched: Watcher
Second: Weaver
Third: Quail
Last: Silk

One time, their nest was attacked at night, when- on a rare occasion- all of them were sleeping at the same time. The warriors of the Irian Clan, Plague Flight, attacked their nest after Quail wasn't careful enough when heading back, and gave away their location. The Irian Clan was made up of red, black, purple, and white Fae with intent to enlargen their clan through... odd methods. The leader, Tempia, was a blood colored, muscly female dragon with Platinum and Purple accents. She commanded 10 other dragons, all equally as strong as her.

===================================================================

Silk's eyes shot open as he heard the slash of sharp claws from outside of the nest. He glanced around. Watcher and Weaver were also waking up, but Quail was nowhere to be seen. There were shadows coming in through the thin leaves of the door, hinting at the presence of dragons outside. The three siblings exchanged glances, then Watcher jerked his head towards Weaver's study room. They slid towards it, pressing themselves to the sturdy walls. Watcher suddenly burst into the room, and came barreling out a moment later. "Hello, little dragon." An unfamiliar voice snarled smoothly. "Who are you?" Watcher shouted in a deep, threatening voice, flexing his claws and thrashing his whip-thin tail. Silk was intimidated by his brother's powerful appearance, despite knowing that he would never hurt him. "Oh, I'm just..." A dragon stepped into the sparkling moonlight that was creeping into the room. They flexed their claws and held their head high, smirking smugly. "Your new commander." Suddenly, it leaped onto Watcher, easily tackling him and tossing him outside. A shriek followed.
"Watcher!" Weaver and Silk gasped simultaniously, rushing outside. They pushed the leaf covering out of the way, and it soon rested on their necks. On their numb, frozen necks. Five dragons were standing around the door, the one infront of them being muscly and tall. All of them were staring at Silk and Weaver, but the tall one seemed to be burning his soul. On the ground was Watcher, shaking himself and getting up.
Below him was the corpse of Quail.
Silk let out a deafening shriek, and tears flooded the ground below him. "Silk..." Weaver breathed, trying to comfort her brother, but she fell silent. It was clear that she was holding back tears, and trying hard to not let them escape. A few did, but the snow beneath her talons stayed mostly dry. "Who are you?" Watcher snarled, flexing his claws once more. Weaver glanced somewhere, but Silk's vision was too blurred by tears to know where. The leader's face hadn't moved, staying flat as the bare landscape around them. "My name is Tempia of the Irian Clan. I have come here to... recruit new members." Watcher bared his teeth and stepped closer to her. "Oh yeah? And how do you plan on doing that?" His pupils were shaking with fear, but he stood his ground. Suddenly, Tempia flicked her tail, and two of the dragons reached for Watcher, their arms flying out and securing his shoulders in their grasp. They threw him to the ground, and one of them held a knife to his neck. "By taking you three with us."
Silk stood frigid, staring at Watcher and Tempia and the dragon who had him pinned and Quail all at the same time. "Y-W- Yeu- We'll never go with you, n-not after this-s." He tried to threaten, but it just came out as a stuttery, jumbled mess. Tempia let out a laugh. "Sure." She flicked her tail. "Get them." The fae took hold of Weaver and Watcher immediately, and they held them above the ground. Both thrashing and wrestling, Watcher yelled, "You can take us, but let Silk go! He's not going to be much help in any fight anyways. He doesn't even know how to fight, especially not against warriors who have been trained since hatching to fight." Silk was hurt, but he knew it was true. Tempia gazed down and Silk's terrified face. She wove her talon. "Eh, you can leave him." The dragon got off of him, and he stood up. Tempia snatched his chin and pulled him towards her. "Just know that if you ever, ever, come near us or our base, you will come with us." Then she dropped him, flicked her tail again, and they all flew off. Silk watched in agony and his siblings were pulled away from him. He looked down at Quail. "What did I do to deserve this?" He asked to the cold night air.

====
he lost his only family and had to go off to find his own, fighting the fear of being caught in the same way. once finding xeo (his partner) he had to overcome his mindset towards having any type of relationship. the only ones he had ever had were with his siblings, what if this one ended the same way? the two groups of dragons hed met were his siblings and the ones who had attacked them. his siblings were gone, the attackers were still out there.

he finally got the strength to decide that he was allowed to be happy despite his past, and that he shouldnt feel guilty for being free when his siblings werent (with a lot of help from xeo, velvet-his advisor- and his other new friends), and that the only way to help them was to get back on his feet. that was why he started his clan in the first place, but a lovely side affect was to be able to rebuild his family, having his own daughters and being surrounded by dragons he cares about
