Orchid is the daughter of Sun and Skye from their very first clutch. While the rest of her nestmates went out to serve the Windsinger, Orchid instead took an interest in alchemy. She took an apprenticeship with Baldwin and became her clan's designated alchemist.

The results of her experiments, while certainly beneficial for the rest of her clan, have been more than a little alarming! Despite taking proper safety precautions, Orchid has begun growing mushrooms and leaves, attracting frogs, and even transformed from a Fae into a Pearlcatcher! She is very accepting of her sacrifices, believing them necessary to further her study of alchemy.

Though there has been some pressure for her to take over the clan once her mother moves on, she is unsure as to whether or not this path is for her. She believes she has adopted her father's love for learning and truth, rather than her mother's incredible leadership capabilities.
