Gypsum

The clans resident wizard. Somewhat reckless with his abilities, and equally unwilling to take the blame when he ends up hurting someone. He's often at odds with the seers, especially Crowe, since their attitude towards their magic is "less is more." He considers their branch of magic to be a mash of smoke and mirrors and arbitrary gut feelings. It's no wonder he's more comfortable with the alchemists.

Gypsum was sickly as a hatchling, and his broodmothers would often notice too late because of his naturally light plumage. A string of fevers and colic led him to be considered as good as dead, and his parents even went as far as to prepare a burial. He was saved by a wizard who had been taking shelter in the clan den in exchange for small magic-- the experience cemented the idea of becoming a wizard himself in his young mind.
