Biography

facrinaroses_mirror.png
Feral : Sadistic : Bloodthirsty : Loud

Some might call him the monster hiding under the nest at night, but that implies that he is just some fairy tale. Exosus is one of the Shade-touched, dragons that have fallen from their gods and succumbed to the Shade’s madness. There’s no mistaking one of these ill dragons for another. They give off a sickly aura that brings a chill to even the bravest dragon’s bones. Their eyes are devoid of any sentiment or compassion. They tend to hunt in packs with the lesser creatures that have fallen under the flag of the Shade. With their animalistic ferocity, it’s a wonder to many how the Caligonian Empire managed to capture one alive.

Nobody knows anything about Exosus or what he may have been like before he was turned. All they know is the beast that Caligo keeps stashed away in a dungeon within the depths of their lair. This Exosus is ruthless predator with no method to his approach. He simply forces his way towards his prey, no regard for his own wellbeing, and tears through them. Once driven into a blood rage, he lets loose a bloodcurdling screech to inspire fear among all would-be targets. Even more eerie than that. He seems to stay deadly quiet when imprisoned in his cage. Enough that some may even forget that he is there. Until some sad soul passes his ravenous gaze and incites immediate hostility and his screech that pierces through the whole of the lair. Closing off the dungeon will usually put him back in a passive mood.

Usually.

There is one member of the Igni Ferroque that gets a particularly disturbing reaction. Devil occasionally has a calling to descend to those depths to check on the monster down below. Whenever he goes down there, he isn’t greeted with the usual screeches and scratching on his cage bars. When Exosus notices Devil’s presence, a smile creeps onto his face. His pacing mellows as his usually senseless eyes fill with glee. And then the uncanny laughter begins. This taunt at what Exosus knows lies beneath Devil’s exterior will go on until he leaves, the laughter following him until he’s far away.
