The clan's banker, Midas is in charge of keeping stock of the communal Treasure hoard of Clan Scribbles. Not a single coin enters or leaves the Vault without him knowing, and he keeps the clan's financial records. He will not stand for any discrepancies in the books, since he answers directly to Majesty, the head treasurer. Whenever the clan has expanded its lair, a request to the Plaguebringer herself had to be made, and Midas is the one who has written all of these up. He would then hand the request to Majesty, who would pass it on to a servant of the goddess.
Midas being appointed to clan banker wasn't a surprise to most: ever since he was a hatchling, he enjoyed the finer things in life. Fine dining is amongst his hobbies, and he has become a bit of an amateur food critic. He also enjoys collecting marble statues, gemstones, fine clothing, and anything that signifies opulence. His last purchase was a pillow for his beloved familiar made out of the finest Lantarlea Port silks. He is known to be quite the spendthrift: many businesses he made purchases at have grown into high-end establishments. However, to call Midas an entitled snob would be selling him short. Midas never had qualms about sharing his wealth: he knows he won't be able to spend all of his personal Treasure in his lifetime, and often donates to help the less fortunate: whether those in Clan Scribble itself, or in the clan of its allies. However, he tends to visit these charities unannounced before he does so, to make sure that his donation actually reaches dragons in need. He also helps fund research at the clan's laboratory alongside Alexandrite. As Midas would put it: 'What use is there for wealth if one can't help others progress? You can't take it with you to the afterlife, after all!' |

Midas' superior and fellow treasurer, Majesty serves as a last check for every request that Midas writes down. So far, no request for lair expansions was turned down by the Plaguebringer, so he can't help but look up to her a little. It does take talent to negotiate with the servants of a goddess...
