Knightmare

Knightmare was found by the clan on a hunting/scavenging expedition into the Boneyard.
Dragons of the Wastes have few qualms about pillaging corpses for armor, treasure, and other goods. So when NightWave and the others spotted the gruesome sight of dozens of Pearlcatchers torn asunder, they felt they had hit the jackpot.
While digging through the bodies, NightWave lifted one to find a young dragon still alive. Covered in wounds and blood, his pearl cracked and chipped, the youth was barely breathing. NightWave had the others secure it to his back, and he ran the youth back to the lair.

It took a very long time for the Pearlcatcher to recover physically, and even longer for him to utter a word. He named himself Knightmare.
Knightmare refuses to speak of his life before he was found. Perhaps he doesn't remember, perhaps its too painful. He bears many scars, but oddly seems to delight in gaining more. He is a merciless hunter and particularly ruthless fighter; often wrapping himself in fabric soaked and stained in his prior victims' blood.
Despite his perpetually aggressive expression and abnormally vicious nature, Knightmare is very gentle with his familiar, and will often share his food and sleeping space with the clan youths.
While he would never so much as push a fellow clan member, the Plaugebringer have mercy on the souls of anything that threatens his adoptive family.
