Lesego

Lesego loves snails: she's spent a lot of time in the Meadow, seeking out her shelled friends and painting incredibly detailed pictures of them, some faithfully realistic, others more experimental and impressionist. But none of her clanmates understand her fascination, and even the artists' commune doesn't seem to value her, despite her abundant body of work.

She's decided to travel, both to seek out new snail specimens, and to escape her critical clanmates.

Lesego arrived at the Companions' Cottage on the edge of Wanderweg Wood with ten new snail species documented in her journals. The forest was a perfect habitat for the little creatures, who thrived in the variety of plant life available to them. And here! In this cottage built to host Travelers! The gardens were magnificent, and snails were treated with respect. Lesego was thrilled, and spent many hours sketching and taking notes on the various types of snails. Many enjoyed climbing upon her, and she was delighted to be a 'snail transport' whenever desired.

The Companions themselves had been quite welcoming to her, and she had met other Travelers too, including Kraken, who she helped with an egg hatching incident...it had been a gooey time, but she HAD gotten to name one of the newborns Snail. So she felt pretty good about that, and considered it a lovely end to her time there. Now she is heading back on the road, excited to see what other snail-y adventures await!



She traveled down the main road that ran through the plague realm, stopping about 3 miles from where she just came from to read a sign she thought must be to good to be true. The sign read:
" Help Wanted
We are currently looking for someone
To help with relocating snails from
Garden to neighboring forest area.
Paying for every 30 snails moved and
Pay is negotiable!
Please stop by Gwendolyn's Herb garden to acquire more information."
Under the notice was directions to The Garden and without hesitation Lesego was on her way, not taking any breaks or slowing down until she could see the sign for the garden.
She slowed her pace as she look in the large wooden sign that read " Herb Haven ", it was covered in vines that also ran along the fence surrounding the garden. The smell in the air was.. complicated with a mixture of basil, mint, thyme and many other herbs and spices. She approuched the entrance and looked out over the all the plants, some where in rows along the ground, some where in beds and pots and others hung from the few trees that were lining the fence line and she noticed right way that there were many, many snails covering the entire area. At the end of the garden she could see a large black and white dragon wearing a large hat and caring a basket on her side that was over flowing with snails, the dragon was walking her way looking quite frazzled.

"Hello!" the dragon called out.
"Are you lost? Or are you here to help with the snails?" She yelled followed by "please say your here for the snails" slightly under her breath.

As the tundra came into talking distance Lesego replied that she was infact there to help with the snail problem and The Tundra who looked like she could cry tears of joy hugged the mirror and thanked her.

" You have no idea how long ive been trying to move all these snails!" She said as she composed her self.
" You see, SOMEONE *cough Cough* Kevin decided to venture out to other realms and do some exploring for new and unique foods and they thought it would be a good idea to bring back 3 snails that they thought might make a fancy dish.. well they tried one snail looked in butter and herbs and the taste was horrid and they decided to toss the other two out their window.. still alive." She shakes her head and places her paw over her face."
"I suppose these snails really like herbs because they made their way to my garden and I also suppose they were compatible to mate because they multiplied and now their are thousands of these things everyone.. I am not the killing type so my plan is to relocate them all back to the area they were found."
She sighs as she emptys her basket of snails into a large tank and covers it back up.
"Luckily I know where they were since Kevinstopped by my garden to purchase some herbs for said snails and was bragging about how great the will probably taste.. I never saw such weird looking snails before but Normally he is pretty good about finding delicious foods but i suppose this time he failed quite badly."

After some brief conversation Lesego picked up a basket and began to help Gwen gather up snails.
Gwen allowed Lesego to stay with he in her lair as she helped with the snail problem, giving her 3 meals a day and paying her 1kt every 100 snails she gathers. After a few days and triple checking, all the snails were gathered and placed into a large tank. Lesego offered to take the snails back to their own realm as she wanted to head out on her newest adventure and Gwen accepted her offer and let her know she may keep the cart and tank when she releases the snails so that she may have something to carry her belongings in as she travels.

With a few packed meals and a sweet goodbye Lesego was on her way to drop of the snails and start her new adventure.

After some long months of searching for the book, she finally found it. Who would've guessed that it was right there, in the small compartment of the bookshelf?
Anyway, the weird clan was weirder the more she explored it. Lesego saw that they weren't really having a house pattern but, rather, what they thought of was the good home for themselves. There were weird dragons with the colors of stars and other travelers. Some were sad and sleepy, while others were happily enjoying their families.
As she walked once on the twisted road she met a large, imposing dragon with a lot of drapes and weird rug-like clothing on it. Lesego decided that engaging in a conversation would be risky yet the right choice.

"Hello there! Mind if you tell me where the gardens are?" the dragon yelled.
"HUH?" the large, weird creature yelped. "OOH, you are one of the travelers. Yes yes... Uh.. What if I get you to the uh.. others? Maybe to Solar'o?" he barked fearfully.
"Oh, no, it's alright! I already talked with Solar'o and got my little hut. It's charming, by the way! And uh-" Lesego abruptly stopped as she saw the dragon bend in a weird way and open his wings wide open, creating a little windstorm around the dead leaves.
"You like the house?" he said, this time in a very questioning way. "I uh, built it! And thought you might like it!" he chirped cheerfully.
"Oh, well, yes, I do like it- But I don't like the garden that much," Lesego said carefully. "Too small in my opinion."
"Oh, my bad.." the stoic dragon said. "Uhh.. you are Lesego, right? I am uh.. Shie. Now let's check the problems and I'll have it fixed before you blink."

After some time of building the garden, Lesego was sure that the snails will enjoy the new garden as much as she did. And she was sure Shie was going to enjoy his brand new surprise snails as well.
