Kylae

Lavender's son spent his youth in the backroom of the bookstore, learning the ways of bookkeeping, candlemaking, lanternbuilding and whatever else the bookstore dragons had to offer. None of it was truly his thing, so by the time she chose her name to be Kylae and became an adult, she drifted between menial jobs carrying or delivering things - nothing too heavy, since she was not exactly strong - or offering information to visiting dragons and other things that the professionals did not want to waste time on. When her father took in a Nocturne hatchling as a protege, Kylae was apprehensive, worried she would lose the close bond between parent and child that was so rare in Sornieth, but shortly became enamoured as well. Viola always did her best to help and frankly, was the best sister she could have asked for. Better even than her flesh-and-blood sisters left in the Southern Icefield, whom she'd never met and who never wrote either.

When the bookstore closed and the dragons who used to work there disbanded and spread out to other places in the clan, Kylae and Ven moved to the Carnival, where Viola had set up a shop of her own. And it was here that Kylae finally found herself. While she embraced the advice Viola was giving her, she also frequently visited the nearby Divination Tents. Feeling inspired, she began to pursue an esoteric art of her own and with some help from Viola, settled on Tarot reading. Though she has moved out by now, she still visits her father and sister often.

As for her friends, she has become close with Melliny, who ended up taking over the mantle of head of the Carnival unexpectedly, seemingly from one day to the next. Her other friend is Lyra, whom she'd seen around the Lair entrance since she had been a kid. She'd even left a wish with her once and somehow, Lyra had managed to get her what she wished for! Imagine her glee when the Scrybe of Wishes was her tent neighbour and actually enjoyed talking to her! Of course, she has gotten over being starstruck, but it is still one of her favourite memories, how Lyra had first approached her and praised her for her readings.

There is no special drake in her life yet, but she does carry a wish for children in her heart. Maybe once day, she might take out a page of her father's book and simply have a single nest with a handsome drake who would feel amicable to letting her keep the kids. A drakaina can dream...
