With their dragons' scales crackling with the power of lightning and their spirits as fierce as the thunder, the Stormweavers have carved out their home amidst the tumultuous skies. The Clan of the Stormweavers was founded generations ago by a group of dragons who believed that the storms held the secret to ultimate power and wisdom. They sought to harness the energy of the lightning that danced across their homeland, not only to protect themselves but also to enhance their own abilities. The clan's founding members, known as the "First Weavers," dedicated their lives to mastering the art of lightning magic. They spent years studying the patterns of the tempests and the currents of the lightning storms, learning how to manipulate these forces to their advantage. The Stormweavers are organized into various groups, each specializing in a different aspect of lightning magic. The clan's ultimate quest is to unlock the secrets of the greatest storm of all—the Stormcatcher himself. They believe that by unraveling the mysteries of the Stormcatcher, they can harness his power and become masters of the storm. To this end, they embark on perilous expeditions into the heart of the tempest, seeking to uncover the truth hidden within the swirling chaos. The Stormweavers maintain alliances with the Clan of the Pestilent Legion, Clan of the Eternal Flame and Clan of the Veiled Shadows, often trading knowledge and resources. However, despite the alliance they are constantly at odds with the Clan of the Veiled Shadows, who seek to harness the darkness of the storms for their own purposes. This rivalry has led to many clashes in the storm-lit skies, with the Stormweavers defending their homeland against the encroaching shadows. A common inscription found throughout the Shifting Expanse reads, "In Storms We Thrive, In Lightning We Strive." It serves as a reminder of the clan's unwavering commitment to mastering the storms and unlocking the power of the tempests that rage above their heads. |
