"There goes, Lartessa."
"We must be getting a new expansion to the den."
The dragons watched as the Fae zipped and zoomed through the air as he mapped out the new expansion that was beginning to take shape. Lartessa was the architect of the clan; therefore, he was always busy when a new expansion was opened up in the den. He was a happy, little Fae as he was able to do the one thing that he loved. Though, it wasn't as if the other dragons could tell that he was currently content. The other Fae within the clan new he was happy with his work though. Lartessa zoomed before he stopped to stare at the dragons staring at him. They looked away before he shook his head then began to work once more.
The expansion was going toward making the nesting den a bit bigger. More dragons meant more eggs which meant more room. He was ecstatic to hear that he would design and build the new area of the nesting den. Lartessa had all kinds of ideas that he knew would make the children happy. The small dragon paused before looking at the empty spaces within the room. He floated to the floor before grabbing a small, smooth stone. Children liked to play with toys. So, as a break for himself, Lartessa began whittling a figurine out of the stone. At first, nobody knew what it was until the shape of a Guardian began to take shape. His ear fins flicked up then down as he was pleased with the design.
"Lartessa."
Lartessa looked up as he heard his name. Midnight, the leader of the clan, smiled at him before taking the figurine and putting it on a flat piece of the new expansion.
"I appreciate that you make toys for the hatchlings."
The Fae made a noise, almost as if he was cooing, before flying up off the floor of the cave. He looked at Midnight before nodding his head slightly.
"Thank you."
With those words, Lartessa zipped off to finish his design of the new hatchery. He did a few flips through the air which allowed the hatchlings to have a giggle and be in awe at the acrobatic architect of the clan. Lartessa was definitely one of a kind. The children liked that very much about him.
